What We Believe

At St. Philip we want you to feel a sense of peace and belonging.  We strive to be a place where you can discover and develop a living relationship with the risen Lord Jesus Christ; a place where you can participate in the life of the congregation and share your God-given gifts.

Lutherans are Christians who trust in Jesus Christ as Savior. Following Jesus’ command, we worship, pray, baptize, and receive his gift in Holy Communion.  Our faith is summarized in the historic Apostles’ and Nicene Creeds.  Lutherans teach that a person is saved by the grace of God through faith in Christ.  That faith is expressed in acts of service to others in His name.

St. Philip Lutheran Church is part of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA). For more information about the ELCA, visit The Larger Lutheran Church.
