Stewardship at St. Philip

This year the Stewardship Committee’s theme is Open Hearts, Helping Hands, expanding on St. Philip’s mission statement – Sharing the Love of Christ. We are focusing on how God has enriched our lives, opened our hearts, and made our faith stronger. With a desire to bring attention to your generosity in supporting our annual ministry plan, and at the same time enhancing each of our own individual giving plans, the Stewardship Committee has made a commitment to lift up to the congregation the value of time, talent, and resources to connect with others.

We kicked off the stewardship campaign on Sunday, October 3rd at both services. Celebration Sunday will be on October 24th again at both services, giving thanks for the pledges submitted and the many blessings received by
St. Philip. Your Estimate of Giving Card for 2023 can be filled out here.

Christian giving is both sacramental and sacrificial.  Sacrificial because our giving is meant to make a difference in our life and lifestyle; sacramental because our giving is an outward and visible sign of our inward and spiritual disposition. As Jesus says, “Where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.” Our generous God is the provider of abundance, the enabler for us to become rich in faith, service, love, talent, life experience and caring for one another. Being physically separated we continue to connect virtually with each other through worship and study.

These Temple Talks from St. Philip members during worship in October, brought messages of how God is working in their lives and how stewardship of their time, talent and resources has worked to connect and share the love of Christ.
