Birth to Preschool

Preschool Sunday School:

There are 3 groupings:
•Preschool (2’s-4’s)
•K-2nd Grades
•3rd-5th Grades

Each group has a shepherd who moves the groups between three learning stations: story, craft, and game.  Each Sunday there is a common story theme and each station supports that theme through story, craft, and game. The material for planning comes from a website called Sermons4Kids:  http://www.sermons4kids.com/index.htm.

Nursery Care

All children are welcome in worship services, which include a special children’s sermon. But nursery care is also provided for children up to the age of four years during the worship services year round as well as the Sunday school hour from September-May.  The nursery is shepherded by an adult staff member and youth volunteers.

Preschool

St. Philip Lutheran Preschool is a week-day preschool stressing living and learning in a loving Christian environment.  Believing that each child is special and unique, our goal is to foster the individual growth of each child.

St. Philip has an atmosphere of nurturing and loving care where the children discover new ideas, form friendships, and develop ways to live and work together.  Learning is a pleasant experience and school must be a fun and enjoyable place.  St. Philip believes that children grow in understanding in this atmosphere.

Activities include music, art, Spanish, programs, field trips, and more. See Curriculum for more detail.
