We still have openings in the following programs:
SIT – Leaders – Grades rising 11-13 – June 16-21
- Great leadership training program – two week program.
SIT –Servants – Grades rising 9 &10 – June 30-July 5
- Learn about our call to service as the people of God.
Explorers – Grades rising 8-12 – June 23-28
- Archeology of a 1940’s plane crash on the site, Canoeing on the Cape Fear and more adventures. This is a unique one-time offering.
Nature Discovery Camps: Grades rising 6-9 – July 21-26
- Spend time learning about plants, animals, stars etc. from trained experts – it is all nature and lots of discovery in small group.
Model Rocketry – Grades 5-9 – July 14-19 – Boys and girls
- Build your own rockets and launch them each day, plus all the great camp activities you know and love. AND don’t forget – Short week programs the week of July 4, Prime Camp, Horse Camp for grades 6-9, and our new program in 2013 Night Owls – stay up at night and sleep during the day.
We ask that you please pray for the summer staff and campers in your congregations during the coming months. Thirty young adults have been called to serve this summer. Please pray for them.
We also ask for your prayers for the many campers who will be involved in resident camp and day camp programs across the synod.
Vacation Bible School & Music Week
Do you have a child in your life, your own, your grandchild, your neighbor, who would enjoy some faith based activities this summer? Registrations for St. Philip’s Preschool Vacation Bible School and Music Week are open! You may get registration forms on the website (www.st-philip.org) as well as outside of Cathryn’s office. Let us know if you have any questions!! All are welcome!!!!!
Preschool Vacation Bible School – June 24-28 – 9:30-11:30
- Serves 2’s (by October 15, 2012-rising Kindergartners)
- Recommended donation of $25
- Youth and adult volunteers are needed!
Music Week – July 22-26 and Worship on July 28
- Serves 1st graders through college aged youth.
- Day runs from 9-2:00 with lunch provided.
- Free will donations greatly appreciated.
