Stewardship at St. Philip
This year the Stewardship Committee’s 2024 theme is Moving Forward Together. Expanding on St. Philip’s mission statement – Sharing the Love of Christ and inspired by this familiar passage from Philippians, we look to our future and strive to Move Forward Together to answer our call of God.
Beloved, I do not consider that I have made it my own but this one thing I do:
forgetting what lies behind and straining forward to what lies ahead,
I press on toward the goal for the prize of the heavenly call of God in Christ Jesus.
Philippians 3:13-14
The 2024 stewardship campaign begins on September 29th at our united God’s Work. Our Hands. Sunday worship service. Celebration Sunday will be on October 2oth at both services, giving thanks for the pledges submitted and the many blessings received by
St. Philip. Your Estimate of Giving Card for 2025 can be filled out here.
Christian giving is both sacramental and sacrificial. Sacrificial because our giving is meant to make a difference in our life and lifestyle; sacramental because our giving is an outward and visible sign of our inward and spiritual disposition. As Jesus says, “Where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.” Our generous God is the provider of abundance, the enabler for us to become rich in faith, service, love, talent, life experience and caring for one another. Being physically separated we continue to connect virtually with each other through worship and study.
We have much to celebrate at St. Philip. Your Stewardship Committee is tasked with an annual examination of our resources and how we can most effectively and faithfully continue to use them to serve God as a community of faith.
We would greatly appreciate your input as we move forward together. Carefully and prayerfully consider these questions and share your ideas and visions with us.
Thank you for your continued support and participation in our ministries.
