Awesome Summer Worship 2016
June 12 to September 18 at 9:30a.m.

Stretching from Germany, Wales, Scotland, and Ireland to the vastness of the United States; from the Middle Ages to present day our worship of God will be enriched through the diversity of our rich Lutheran and musical heritage.   Rally Day is September 18th.   JOIN US!!!!!!!!

Here’s the basic schedule:

June 12 and June 19

Using the variety of hymnals in the Lutheran tradition, these services will include elements from the black Common Service book, the red Service Book and Hymnal, the green Lutheran Book of worship, the blue With One Voice, the burgundy Now the Feast and Celebration, the multi-colored Worship and Praise, and the cranberry Evangelical Lutheran Book of Worship.


June 26

In this acoustic service we’ll sing some “good-ole” camp songs and even learn some new ones.

Weather permiting, this service may take place outdoors.  Bring a lawn chair to sit on..


July 3

In a patriotic service we’ll give thanks and pray for our nation with songs and litanies.


July 10, 17, and 24

These Chicago Folk Services will bear the content of a Lutheran liturgy but in a slightly different order and set to different arrangements led by acoustic instruments.


July 31

In a global service we’ll worship celebrating the rich diversity of music from  different places around the world.


Aug 7, 14, and 21

These worship services will incorporate elements of jazz, blues, and  gospel through song arrangements, harmonies, and instrumentaon.

IonaCross Green

Aug 28 and Sept 4

These worship services will celebrate our Celtic heritage as we give thanks for God’s presence through prayers, litanies, music, and silence.


Sept 11

The ELCA marks “God’s Work. Our Hands.”  Sunday on this day. We’ll worship at 9:30 and then engage in a variety of outreach service projects.  For more infomation, click here.


Sept 18

We begin our new year as a faith community with “Rally Day”. Come and join us!!!
